To whom it may concern
The recent 2.1 firmware update screwed up Lexitron’s sound effects. I isolated their problem easily: their sound engine no longer correctly processes 8-bit files. Lexitron’s sound effects are all 22Khz 8-bit mono audio files– I was trying to keep the game as small as I could. I’m delivering a version with compatible sound effects very soon. A 2.1 compatible version has been submitted to Apple. I’m sorry this happened.
edit: and yes, a pause menu, listen-to-own-music, and better high score system are all being worked on for Lexitron. In fact, I’ve been toying with an idea for a new kind of online high score system for Lexitron– what if every puzzle had it’s own online high score holder, and after each round you could submit your time/percentage-of-words-found to see if yours is the best, or else have reported back to you who the champion is…? My only problem with this so far is that users can set their own time limits, and I’m not sure how to deal with this so that it’s equal for everybody. Any ideas?

Is there still a chance we’ll get Lexitron with the option of listening to our own music back? I can’t play it otherwise, and I really miss it, as it’s a great game.

Is there a bug submission form or something? There are two bugs that I know of (one is a minor annoyance, one is incredibly frustrating):
1) the minor one — sometimes if you double-click to submit a word just as time is running out, you won’t get to see the words you missed [they don't show up while the next puzzle is loading -- I believe they do briefly flash as the next puzzle displays]
2) The frustrating one — sometimes, the game ends even if you pass a level. I can’t reproduce it reliably — it might occur if you’re submitting the final word just as time is expiring. This one is very frustrating because you might be on a roll and end up losing your progress even though you passed a level.

I’m so disappointed with the latest update.. i thought you will revert back to the original graphic or at least have an option for that… I’m sorry but I have to change my rating from 5 stars to just 1 star now… I wish I hadnt bought this app…

Could you please implement a dictionary with word definitions? I am not a native speaker and I always want to know the meaning of missed words. I believe there are some free dictionaries you could use.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, that’s not a mock up - it’s the game running live.
If there’s any interest, I’ll zip the files and make some instructions on how to install.

Hi I got 83, 576 and yes I have also found the bug annoying as dsbrady with the game ending occasionally and if the time is running out and you tap you miss the final words. I was addicted to the old version but i really find this graphic appearance less appealing than the old one. It is harder to read.

@TheKing - My roommate’s is just slightly over 94,000! It was a team effort, though.
Anyway, would it be possible to get another update on the update? My girlfriend wants to play Lexitron while we’re listening to music in the car.

The classic interface is better and sound should be optional
